Workers expect their defined contribution plans to play a greater role in their retirement income than annuities.
Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) has named Kelly Thomas its new Chief Operating Officer.
According to a release from the Company, Thomas most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Rolled Products North America at Aleris International.
"A seasoned, global business executive with roots in finance, and a broad general management background focused in manufacturing, Kelly will be a fantastic asset to ERI as we continue to grow and expand revenue generation and market share," said John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI. "Operations is such an important part of our business, it is critical that we expand our Executive Management team to prepare for our current growth opportunities, making Kelly an ideal fit."
ERI said Thomas spent 15 years in the aluminum industry progressing in her career through finance, treasury, and commercial leadership into senior management responsible for business unit P&L oversight. Her tenure with Aleris also included roles as Corporate Treasurer and Vice President of Metal Risk Management with roles in both Zurich, Switzerland and Cleveland, Ohio.
Prior to Aleris, the Company noted that Thomas held various management positions with Alcoa for 10 years, including global oversight of Alcoa's commodities risk management function and senior commercial leadership for Alcoa Europe's primary products division as Vice President Alcoa Materials Management Europe.
Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) is a privately held recycler of electronic waste.
