The reliable Mondragon turned to toss the ball to Burkart coming across second base to start the double play.
However, Mondragon's throw was wide, forcing Burkart to make an acrobatic catch -- thus missing the bag -- and overthrow first base.
"Sometimes you make errors," Burkart offered. "You have to make plays to win this game. Especially against Holy Family. Maybe we were trying to do too much, too quick."
Mondragon stopped way short of shrugging off the missed opportunity, but added "things like that happen. It's unfortunate it was at a time when we needed a double play."

"He's a bulldog and he kept pumping the zone," Mondragon said.
Danley primed his squad for the task at hand coming up, but doesn't see the rest of the final four field -- Holy Family,
"There are four teams still playing baseball," Danley explained. "All four have won three in a row several times this season. Somebody's has to come up and get the job done.
"Nobody's at any big disadvantage," Danley added. "You're either (still) in it, or you're not. We're in it and we'll come back and battle and get better."
