Hagerman KOs 13, Still 10

May 09--The Okaw pitchers Peyton Hagerman and Devon Still recorded 23 stikeoutrs between them against Tri-County in back-to-back pitcher's duels on Monday, 2-1, and 2-0.

Tri-County drew first blood. Hagerman started off rough, even though he finished with 13 Ks. He walked the first batter and hit the second. He KO'd his first victim and, with two outs, He rang up his second.

Hagerman walked in the 1st, but was stranded. He struck out two of three batters in the 2nd.

With two outs in the 2nd Okaw got busy. Connor Cloyd and Dylan Park walked and Tanner Coleman singled. With the bases loaded and two outs, a fly out ended the Okaw chance.

Hagerman gave up a single, but struck out two batters in the 3rd.

Okaw tried to score again in the 3rd. With two outs, Still reached on an error and Drew Fruchtl doubled, sending Still home for the tie score, 1-1. Ian Tiarks singled, but Fruchtl was out at home.

Hagerman gave up a sinfgle and a walk in the 4th, but KO'd the other three batters. Okaw went in order in the 4th.

Hagerman struck out one in the 5th and the other two flew out to Jeffers. All three Okaw batters grounded out in the 5th.

Hagerman gave up consecutive singles to start the 6th. A fielder's choice was followed by two more Hagerman strikeouts. Okaw went in order again in the 6th.

It was a tie ball game in the 7th, 1-1. Hagerman gave up a lead-off single, and struck out the next batter trying to bunt. Hagerman gave up another single.

With two men on and one out, Hagerman threw to Fruchtl at 2nd for a fielder's choice getting the runner at 2nd. Coleman then made the play on a ground ball to keep the score tied, 1-1.

The first two Okaw batters were out in the bottom of the 7th. Coleman then drew a walk. Colton Sroka got a big hit, a 2-out double for the walk-off game-winner, scoring Coleman.

With Devon Still on the mound and solid Okaw Valley defense, The Timberwolves got all they needed to beat Tri-County in the 1st inning. They added an insurance run in the 7th and notched the win, 2-0.

Colton Sroka led off the game with a double. With one out, Sroka stole 3rd and Peyton Hagerman grounded out and Sroka raced home, 1-0 Okaw.

Still rang up his first batter and gave up his own double, but there was two outs. A ground out to Fruchtl retired Tri-County in the 1st.

Ian Tiarks walked in the 2nd, but was left on. Still gave up a lead-of single in the 2nd, then KO'd the next two batters. A fly out to Tiarks retired T-C in the 2nd.

Hagerman doubled in the Okaw 3rd with two outs, but was left on. Still plunked a batter in the T-C 3rd, but a Fruchtl to Park to Tiarks double play erased him. Still walked a batter, then rang up the next batter.

Fruchtl singled with one out in the 4th, but was left on. Two ground outs and a dropped 3rd strike throw out put T-C down in order in the 4th. Okaw and T-C both went in order in the 5th.

Hagerman singled again in the 6th, but was forced out and Okaw didn't score. T-C led off with a double in the 6th and Still intentionally walked a batter to have two on with just one out. Still then rang up the next batter and Park squeezed a line-drive to end the 6th.

Tiarks led off the 7th reaching on an error. With one out, Park sacrificed pinch-runner Justin Johnson to 3rd and he came around to score, 2-0.

Still gave up a lead-off single in the 7th and he advanced to 2nd. But, the next batter lined-out to Tanner Coleman at 3rd. Still rang up the next two batters and notched the win.
