SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — FBI agents in Puerto Rico have issued 36 arrest warrants for people accused in a $1.8 million mail fraud scheme, roughly from 2003 to 2009.

Among the accused are at least three police officers and a doctor.

An indictment released Friday states the doctor is accused of falsifying claim forms for dozens of accident insurance policyholders.

Charges include mail fraud and conspiracy to commit mail fraud.
