LAKELAND -- The Moscow baseball team split a doubleheader with Lakeland in a pair of close games Tuesday. The Bears won the first game 7-4 while Lakeland won the second contest 4-2.

Moscow got behind 3-0 in the first game after the opening frame but came back with three runs in the top of the second and added three more in the top of the sixth. Reliever T.J. Lewis also stepped up for Moscow when he entered in the third inning.

"We came out and scored two runs in the fist inning, which was awesome," Kruger said. "The girls played well all game. I felt like we made routine plays which we shoveled in the past. I think the girls are playing hard."

MEDICAL LAKE -- The Pullman boys tennis team improved to 9-0 on the season after sweeping Medical Lake 7-0. The Greyhounds won all 14 sets as they dominated the match from start to finish.
