Laskowski backed out and took off with an undisclosed amount of money, but the SUV only made it about a quarter-mile up
He abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, but state police aviation and officers from a few area departments were able to establish a perimeter around the wooded area where he fled, Hicks said.

"It's probably safe to say it was because of her ramming his car, that's what disabled his vehicle," said Hicks, adding it's hard not to tell people to intervene when the result is a capture. "Obviously there isn't any way to reconcile it. Her actions were courageous and helped apprehend him ... but we would prefer people call 911 and let us handle it. That's what we do ... keep people safe."
Hicks said the woman's name is not being released. He said neither she nor the robber, who did not use a weapon in the robbery, were injured -- minus a possible bruising of alleged robber's ego.
The trooper said the woman will not be charged for deliberately crashing her truck. He's not sure whether insurance will cover the intentional ramming.
"I would say that would all depend on your insurance company," he said.
