Alterations came in the form of the Texas Success Initiative, the core curriculum and the hours required for a program, and that had an impact on the catalog,
"In all these things, there's hardly a page in the catalog that didn't experience some change," Stanglin said.
Prior to the action items, the board approved the consent agenda with a 6-2 vote,
Griffin, Jr. and Brian cast the two dissenting votes.

"You're gong to see more and more of these employees with 30 (or) 40 years of service retiring one right after the other, (so) that's a tremendous loss of institutional knowledge and a part of the history of the institution," he said.
The meeting was set against a backdrop of controversy, including an allegation of conflicts of interest concerning property Board President
Although Wood is identified as the owner of the property, Holda's name appears on the deed. Charlie's wife, Glynda, explained last week that all discussions about the property are between Wood and the Hales, not Holda.
In light of the debate the claims have stirred, the last discussion item on the agenda was to update the policy concerning each board member's conflict of interest forms. Holda found that some trustees had not looked at their conflict of interest forms in five or six years. He expected to continue on that trajectory and remain within the expected budget.
"We are very much in line with our budget and very much in line with the activities of previous years," he said.
Over the next year-plus, McNaney said the trustees and administration would see monthly expenditures related to switching to a new student information system that will cost a total of about
"We're expecting the majority of this to come out of our reserve fund," he said.
In the second quarter budget amendments, Mc- Naney explained an increased music budget was due to the World Hunger Concert.

Griffin was the lone "nay" vote on approval of the item.
Toward the beginning of the meeting, automotive instructor D'Wayne Shaw used his time during citizen's comments to acknowledge and thank the administrators and trustees who have supported the college's automotive club.
The automotive club has been hosting car shows to raise money to repair vehicles to then be given to families in need in the area, he said. The show
