Foundations team to make offer for August Wilson Center

Government and foundation leaders have been meeting privately for months in an attempt to save the center.

Swain added that the public needs to recognize that the center would rely on subsidies and that a key would be trying to figure out the right mix of revenue from sources such as tickets sales and facility rentals versus gifts from individuals and grants from foundations, corporations and government.
