Central Valley senior Dolan chosen for D.C. training

Starting Friday, Dolan is learning about education as a right around the world and how she can rally her own community to help youth around the world access education despite barriers such as poverty, child marriage, lack of trained teachers or gender-based violence.
"I applied for Youth Advocacy Training because I am passionate about advocacy and nonprofit work, and I'm looking into a career in this field," she said in a press release. "I specifically think education should be a major focus of discussion in our society, because a meaningful education is vital to the growth of new generations of successful leaders."
