Police find cocaine and gun during traffic stop

According to the arrest citation obtained from the
Richardson went on to write that he approached the vehicle and the driver had extremely slurred speech and seemed confused. When asked for his insurance card, the subject handed Richardson his dealer license.
The citation continued, stating that two other troopers, Huff and Gayheart, were on the scene and that Gayheart noticed a handgun between the driver's leg and center console. The driver was then asked to step out of the vehicle and stumbled onto the road way.
Richardson reported in the citation that a field sobriety test was conducted. A Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test was administered to check for rapid movement of the eye which would indicate intoxication.
"Due to subject's high level of intoxication no other test were administered," Richardson wrote in the citation.
The driver, 21-year-old
During the search after the arrest, a cellophane baggy was located in Lyttle's front pant pocket which contained a white powdery substance. According to the citation, Lyttle advised the officers that it was cocaine.
Lyttle was transported to the Hazard ARH and submitted to a blood test, the powdery substance was sent to the KSP lab for identification.
