The Standard Announces Co-Marketing Relationship With M Financial Group

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Standard Retirement Services, Inc. (“The Standard”), a subsidiary of StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE:SFG), has announced a new co-marketing relationship with M Financial Group for distributing qualified retirement plan products, including 401(k), 403(b) and 457 plans. The relationship became effective Feb. 3, 2014. Both firms are located in Portland, Ore.

“M Financial’s focus on supporting advisors and strengthening their value proposition makes this relationship a great opportunity for us,” said Dan Hall, vice president of Retirement Plan Sales for The Standard. “Our values and goals are very much aligned. We look forward to supporting them and their nationwide network of member firm advisors.”

The Standard’s retirement plan business unit is coming off a record-setting year in which they achieved five-year highs in both client retention and sales. “The Standard’s approach to the business matches up very well with what we are focusing on at M Financial,” said David Watros, vice president of M Corporate Benefits. “Their services will help our member firm advisors eliminate administrative burdens and reduce fiduciary risk for their employer clients, as well as deliver effective retirement readiness solutions to employees.”
