Man charged for assaulting officer

According to the criminal complaint,
As officers were speaking to Short, his wife and children escaped to the outside.
When officers located Short in his bedroom, he slammed the door in the officer's faces and jumped into a corner of the room where a shotgun was located.
As officers were grabbing Short to detain him, Short allegedly swung an object and hit Belt in the head. Short continued to resist the command to place his hands behind his back, but after several attempts, Short was detained and cuffed. Officers report that Short continued to threaten the lives of the officers as he was being detained.
Short was charged with obstructing an officer with injury to officer, assault 1st battery of officer without weapon and malicious assault. His bail was set at

According to the complaint, the victim arrived at his home at Kelly Hollow to find the front door of the residence damaged and a window with blood on the glass. The victim reported that many of the items missing were those of his ex-girlfriend,
Baisden, 53, advised the Trooper that she was the one who had taken the items; however, she stated that she had a key and was invited there by the victim. She also stated that she had gotten angry and threw a cup through the window.
