It's not that people don't want to save for retirement, it's because they can't afford to.
March 07--The House of Representatives this week passed legislation that includes a water-efficiency amendment from Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Stockton.
The congressman also spoke up Wednesday in support of the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act. "This bill contains several provisions that will help families in our region," he said in a prepared statement.
McNerney's amendment to the Better Buildings Act added water efficiency measures. In a statement, he said, "California's water supply is increasingly vulnerable because of the devastating drought."
Earlier in the week, McNerney introduced two House bills aimed at water conservation.
