Vseobecna zdravotni pojistovna (VZP) (Prague, Czech Republic), state-owned health insurance company, faces suspicion of uneconomical management of money for prevention in previous four years. It has been proved by an audit which the Ministry of Heath of the Czech Republic organized there. There are doubts regarding expenses around CEK 400 mil. Further mistakes worth more than CEK 456 mil were made during 10 years when VZP was concluding contracts with IZIP. IZIP has supplied so called Electronic Health Books project for VZP. VZP has more than 6 mil of insured persons and manages around CEK 150 bil/y. It is the largest health insurance company in the Czech Republic.
