A recent survey by job-placement firm Manpower found that 84 percent of employees planned to look for a new position in the upcoming year. Allstate Insurance Company has opportunities for those looking for a fresh start, as the company plans to appoint 28 new agency owners in Arizona in 2013. The expansion effort is expected to create at least 60 new insurance jobs statewide, as new agents hire staff to support their agencies.
“Arizona’s strong economy is fueling this expansion plan,” said Grant Wood, Allstate’s Arizona sales leader. “We target cities and areas that show growth and increasing demand as a part of Allstate’s broader strategy to expand our presence in Arizona.”
Allstate is looking for sales-driven, customer-service-oriented professionals with management experience to operate the agencies across the state, specifically in Phoenix and Tucson. To help with the recruiting efforts, Allstate is offering a $6,000 award to the person who refers a qualified candidate to Allstate. The referral award is payable upon of the appointment of the candidate as an Allstate agency owner.
Candidates interested in becoming an Allstate agency owner need a minimum of $50,000 of liquid capital to invest in their agency. This money does not go to Allstate; it helps ensure the agency can successfully fund the normal day-to-day costs associated with opening and running a business.
