Jan. 14--Health insurer Highmark Inc. said Monday it hired a former Aetna executive to lead its long-range strategic planning efforts.
Jay Godla, whose official title is executive vice president and chief strategy officer, will identify growth and affiliation opportunities, Highmark said in a statement.
At Hartford-based Aetna, Godla was head of enterprise strategy. He has worked for consulting firm Aon Hewitt, McKinsey & Co., Pricewaterhouse-Coopers and Deloitte and Touche.
