KENT, United Kingdom, July 20 -- Legal & General Group issued the following news release:

Legal & General's general insurance business has developed an Interactive House to help improve general understanding of the home insurance cover options available to customers and potential customers. The following link goes directly to the Interactive House www.legalandgeneral.com/interactive-house.

Those who visit the Interactive House are then able to move through the 3D house and click on the icons displayed in rooms throughout the property and in the surrounding grounds. These icons display details on the different home insurance cover options available and for Legal & General customers what is and isn't covered under their home insurance cover arranged with us.

The Interactive House also displays hints and tips to help customers protect their home and ensure it's safe and secure, throughout the year. For example, the house outlines safety tips to help protect their home during wintery weather and then has relevant safety tips for the summer. The aim is to make the house as realistic as possible with special design details relevant for the time of year.

Every home is different which means the insurance needs of each customer will vary. So, the Interactive House has the flexibility to provide customers with the ability to check what elements of their home insurance cover they have, as well as highlighting cover they can consider and potentially include in the future. For example, customers do not always consider cover for accidental damage or for their personal possessions to be covered in or outside the home. Or bikes that are stored in a garage or outbuilding and forgotten when arranging insurance cover. They may need to be covered separately under a different section of a home contents policy. The Interactive House helps to highlight what is and isn't covered so hopefully customers are fully protected with cover to suit their needs.

Details of the Prize Draw competition

To encourage people to view the Interactive House and check the cover they have in place Legal & General is currently running a Prize draw with the opportunity to win one of five vouchers for pounds 100 to use in B&Q.

All people have to do is identify the 10 hidden 'real life' animation elements contained in the Interactive House and then send an email listing them to prizedraw@landg.com before 31 August 2012. All the correct entries received will be entered into the prize draw and the five winners will then be picked at random on 3 September 2012. Terms and conditions do apply and can be viewed at www.legalandgeneral.com/interactive-house.

More information on the home insurance products offered by the Legal & General and the options available may be found at www.legalandgeneral.com/home-insurance.
