Leading health benefits manager opening two new service centers — ribbon-cutting ceremony for first center held today

RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Extend Health, Inc., a leading provider of health benefit management services, including the nation’s largest private Medicare exchange, today celebrated the opening of the first of two new service centers in Richardson, Texas, that together expect to bring more than 500 new jobs to the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area. The first new service center, located in the Richardson Telecom Corridor® at 1350 N. Glenville Dr., Richardson, Texas, already has 46 full-time employees and soon expects to employ more than 260 full-time seasonal benefit advisors.

The second new service center is expected to employ more than 200 people when it opens thissummer.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Glenville Dr. center today was presided over by United States Congressman Pete Sessions and was attended by State Representatives Jerry Madden and Angie Chen Button, Richardson Mayor Bob Townsend and Extend Health CEO Bryce Williams. At the event, U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-32) said, “I am delighted to welcome Extend Health to Richardson and look forward to the jobs it will bring to our community. Extend Health’s choice to make North Texas home to its new service center is a testament to our highly talented workers and business-friendly environment.”

State Representative Madden said, "We are thrilled that Extend Health is bringing new jobs and new opportunities to Richardson. It is a credit to our workforce here that Extend Health chose this area and the Telecom Corridor. I want to thank Bryce Williams and the entire Extend Health team — and welcome them to Richardson and this part of State Senate District 67."

State Representative Button said, “I am so happy Extend Health has chosen to locate its new service center in Richardson. House District 112 is a wonderful place to do business!”

This move furthers our goal of continuing to diversify our technology-based economy while capitalizing on our highly skilled, sophisticated workforce and strong presence in the healthcare and insurance sectors. The majority of employees Extend Health is hiring in Richardson are full-time seasonal benefit advisors. Benefit advisors are well-trained, licensed professionals who work with seniors to help them compare, select and enroll in private Medicare plans. The company also intends to hire customer care specialists.

Said Bryce Williams, CEO of Extend Health, “As a native of Dallas, I know that Richardson is a great place to locate a new service center. Because of the Richardson Telecom Corridor, the area has a high concentration of workers with experience working in service centers and other positions where familiarity with technology is part of the job. It’s located near major freeways, which makes commuting easy. And it’s a great place to live and work.”

Added Williams, “Extend Health is grateful for the warm welcome from Congressman Sessions, State Representatives Madden and Button, and Mayor Townsend. We look forward to a long association that we hope will bring even more jobs to Richardson in the future.”
