April 14--Was Joe Biden sleeping or praying? And if he was sleeping, what was he dreaming about?

That was the discussion on YouTube and Twitter Thursday.

Biden appeared to have briefly fallen asleep for about 30 seconds during President Barack Obama's speech Wednesday afternoon.

His eyes closed as Obama talked about the national deficit at George Washington University.

"It says that ten years from now, if you're a 65 year old who's eligible for Medicare, you should have to pay nearly $6,400 more than you would today. It says instead of guaranteed health care, you will get a voucher. And if that voucher isn't worth enough to buy insurance, tough luck -- you're on your own."

Then Biden opened his eyes.

"He had his eyes closed envisioning a world without Republicans," said rocky19421 on YouTube. "That is why he had such a peaceful? look on his face."

And on Twitter many found a parallel with the recent incidents of Federal Aviation Administration controllers falling asleep on the job.

Also on Wednesday, a sleeping controller forced a medical flight to land unaided at 2 a.m. at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

"I see our air traffic controllers and our VP Joe Biden like to sleep on the job," posted Yan Gelman on Twitter. "At least the FAA chief had the decency to resign."
