MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The candidates for Alabama attorney general, Republican
, disagree on several key legal issues facing the state, including the federal health care law.
Strange believes Alabama should be part of a lawsuit filed by about 20 states seeking to overturn the new health care insurance measure. Anderson opposes participating in the lawsuit at this time.
Anderson is a veteran courtroom attorney who has represented hundreds of clients in a lengthy career. Much of Strange's experience is working as a corporate attorney and as a lobbyist.
Anderson says Strange is only qualified to be "lobbyist general." But Strange says the job of the attorney general is to run "the people's law firm" and to manage a broad range of issues.
