The "Hot Wheels" list of America's 10 most stolen vehicles in 2011 released Tuesday put the 1994 Honda Accord in first place.
Compiled by the National Insurance Crime Bureau and based on information submitted by law enforcement to the National Crime Information Center, the report noted vehicle thefts remain on the decline. FBI statistics for 2011 indicate a 3.3 percent reduction in vehicle theft, the NICB said.
"Vehicle thefts have not been this low since 1967," the report noted.
Rounding out the Top 10 were the 1998 Honda Civic, 2006 full-size Ford pickup truck, 1991 Toyota Camry, 2000 Dodge Caravan, 1994 Acura Integra, 1999 full-size Chevrolet pickup truck, 2004 full-size Dodge pickup truck, 2002 Ford Explorer and 1994 Nissan Sentra.
