True Office, a start-up technology company that gamifies regulatory compliance training, announced the appointment of Cristobal Conde as Executive Chairman, effective immediately.
As Executive Chairman, Conde brings experience heading a top information technology company to a hands-on role at True Office.
According to a release, True Office builds products that attain engagement levels typically found in consumer games. Its analytics allow companies to pinpoint areas of vulnerability.
Conde first started working with True Office Founder and CEO Adam Sodowick at the 2012 FinTech Innovation Lab where Conde was Executive-in-Residence. The program, which is run by the New York City Investment Fund and Accenture, supports the development of technologies for the financial services industry in New York City.
Maria Gotsch, President and CEO of the New York City Investment Fund, said, "Cris Conde brings deep industry experience to True Office and will be a great asset as the company expands further into the financial services sector."
Conde was President and CEO at SunGard, a Fortune 500 company and a privately-held business software and information technology services company, where he worked from 1987 until 2011. At SunGard, he oversaw SunGard's international expansion and its transition to private ownership. Earlier, he co-founded Devon Systems. Devon specialized in risk management and record-keeping systems for the interest rate and currency derivative markets and was acquired by SunGard in 1987.
He is a senior advisor to TPG Capital and Providence Equity Partners and serves on the boards of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) and of the College of Mount Saint Vincent, and is a partner at the Partnership for New York City.
