HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
A.M. Best Co.has placed under review with negative implications
the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and issuer credit rating
of “a-”of Taiping Reinsurance Company Limited (TPRe) (Hong Kong).
The ratings of TPRe were placed under review to reflect the uncertainty
regarding the ultimate financial impact on the company as a result of
its claims exposure to the 2011 Thailand flooding.
During the under review period, A.M. Best will continue to hold
discussion with TPRe’s management in order to resolve its negative
implications status.
