NFIB members in New Jersey now eligible for discounted coverage

RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced it has extended discounted workers’ compensation coverage benefits to its members in New Jersey through EMPLOYERS®, America's small business insurance specialist®.

Based on the latest expansion, EMPLOYERS offers NFIB members discounted workers’ compensation coverage in 28 states nationwide. NFIB named EMPLOYERS its provider of choice in these states due to the carrier’s focus and expertise as a specialty writer of workers' compensation insurance for small businesses.

Qualifying NFIB members in New Jersey are eligible to receive a 5 percent discount on workers' compensation insurance policies with EMPLOYERS, in addition to other discounts offered by EMPLOYERS. Members can access this valuable benefit through EMPLOYERS-appointed independent agencies.

“In a time when many small businesses continue to face growth challenges, we’re pleased to offer our members access to discounted workers' compensation insurance and services from EMPLOYERS,” said Mark Garzone, senior vice president of marketing, NFIB. "EMPLOYERS has a proven track record of providing cost-effective workers' compensation coverage with services tailored to the needs of small businesses. A strategic approach to risk management is smart business in any economy, and we are confident our current and future small business members will benefit from this relationship."

“Small businesses play a key role in creating jobs and opportunity in New Jersey, and we are pleased to join NFIB in offering qualified members with discounted worker’ compensation and risk management services,” said David Quezada, senior vice president, general manager of strategic partnerships and alliances, EMPLOYERS. “Like the NFIB, EMPLOYERS is dedicated to serving America’s small businesses, making our partnership a natural fit.”

EMPLOYERS’ expansion to New Jersey provides small businesses and independent insurance agents in the state a strong new workers’ compensation option backed by the company’s financial strength, which is rated A- (Excellent) by the A.M. Best Company. Throughout its history, EMPLOYERS’ policyholders and appointed agents have benefited from the company’s stability and dependability since it has never left a market it entered. Value-added services for both small businesses and agents also are differentiators for EMPLOYERS, including effective loss control programs and free OSHA seminars for agents.
