Employee engagement and development credited as a driving force for success

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®) has been named one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Minnesota. The Star Tribune Top Workplaces special section was published in the Star Tribune on Sunday, June 17. The report can also be found at StarTribune.com/topworkplaces2012.

Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions about company leadership, communication, career opportunities, workplace environment, managerial skills, pay and benefits. The winning companies were selected based on survey responses from more than 71,200 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations. Allianz Life gained top ranking because of its outstanding commitment to professional development for employees.

“Allianz Life is committed to the well-being and professional development of our employees; they are the key to our success,” said Walter White, president and CEO of Allianz Life. “Our employee engagement is the driving force behind our position as a leader in the retirement income market,” added White. “Our recognition programs, onsite childcare, fitness center, and educational programs are just a few of the things we do to tell our employees that they make a difference each time they walk in the door.”

The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 100 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

Employees who responded to the survey commented on the opportunities offered at Allianz Life. These include career building opportunities, tuition reimbursement, leadership development programs, and a top rated benefits package. Another benefit offered to employees includes the complementary retirement planning tools and financial advisors that help employees plan for retirement.

Star Tribune Publisher Michael J. Klingensmith said, “The companies in the Star Tribune Top 100 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”
