A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating of A
(Excellent) and issuer credit ratings of “a” of AutoOne Select
Insurance Company(AutoOne Select) and AutoOne Insurance Company(AutoOne)
(both domiciled in New York, NY).
These actions reflect the February 22, 2012 acquisition of AutoOne and
AutoOne Select by Interboro Holdings Inc.(Interboro) from OneBeacon
Insurance Group, Ltd. Currently, Interboro is not a
participant in A.M. Best’s interactive ratings analysis.
Prior to the acquisition, AutoOne and AutoOne Select served the
automobile assigned risk markets primarily in New York and New Jersey.
The methodology used in determining these ratings is Best’s Credit
Rating Methodology, which provides a
comprehensive explanation of A.M. Best’s rating process and contains the
different rating criteria employed in the rating process. Best’s Credit
