Feb. 03--The Graceville Police Department is warning residents of a scam offering insurance for their water service lines.
The scam artists send a letter posing as HomeServe USA Repair Management (Florida) Corp., "an independent company separate from your local utility or community." The letter asks customers to provide their credit or debit card information to pay $59.88 a year for $7,000 in annual coverage.
Anyone with any information on this scam is asked to call the police department at 263-3944.
