New app allows Federal Employees to track annual and sick leave on
the go
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
For the first time, federal employees will have unlimited mobile access
to their annual and sick leave via their iPhone, BlackBerry and Android
mobile smartphones, thanks to GEICO’s
newest application. The GEICO
Federal Leave mobile app allows users to access their most current
annual leave balances, credit hours, complimentary time, as well as
calculate leave accrual rates and account for sick days out of the
office.
“GEICO has developed a mobile version of the leave card with tech savvy
federal employees in mind. Now employees can track their leave anytime
of the day or night, anywhere in the world,” said Steve Smith, GEICO
assistant vice president information technology. “We are consistently
looking for ways to integrate new technology to enhance the experience
for Federal and military personnel.”
GEICO’s latest app is the mobile version of the free paper leave cards
the company has provided to Federal employees since 1960. The insurance
provider continues to stay on the cutting edge of technology with an
