The Butler Group BPM and SOA Symposium held on November 26th-27th at
the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel, focuses on the real-world
practicalities of implementing a Business Process Management (BPM) and
Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) strategy. Cordys, a global leader
in next generation Business Process Management (BPM) is a gold sponsor
and Jon Pyke, Chief Strategy Officer for Cordys will introduce a case
study keynote outlining the business benefits achieved by building
agility into business processes.
Presenting the case study will be Mr. Srinivasan Iyengar, Director, IT
and Change Management of AEGON Religare Life Insurance, who will
highlight how the company has achieved business benefits such as faster
time to market, increased operational efficiency and business agility
from implementing Cordys next generation BPM platform.
"Organisations must be operationally efficient and agile to thrive in
this environment and BPM is a key technology that can help businesses
achieve this. In combination with SOA it helps businesses become more
flexible -able to adapt business strategy and processes on the fly and
implement the changes immediately, without the need to rip and replace
existing systems," says Jon Pyke, Chief Strategy Officer of Cordys.
"It is no longer just what you do that counts, it is how you do what
you do - and how quickly you can respond to new opportunities and
challenges that is really important. To lead in today's business
environment is to embrace change, so our business processes must be
rigorous as well as adaptable - changeable an instant before the
transaction occurs. We need the ability to constantly change our
business and operational strategies to deliver optimal results. Now
more than ever, BPM is essential for any organisation aiming to be
continuously successful and excel in their market," says Jon Pyke.
Cordys will also be presenting four separate sessions further exploring
the business value of implementing a BPM and SOA strategy:
Achieving True Business Agility and Process Innovation with Next
Generation BPM - the Business Operations Platform
Consistently Delivering Value to the Business by Putting the "Business"
into BPM
Re-usable Business Services - Key to Business and IT Collaboration
On-Demand BPM interactive workshop aimed at demonstrating how On-Demand
BPM enhances organisational efficiency by enabling end-users to create
their own process centric mashup applications using best practice and
self defined BPM solutions in a 100% web-based, easy to use and secure
environment.
