MANHATTAN -- Projects by student participants in the spring and summer 2008 academic internship programs of Kansas State University's College of Architecture, Planning and Design will be on display Nov. 3-21 in the Chang Gallery and the first-floor hallway of the east wing of Seaton Hall.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. The Chang Gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

At varying points in their studies, graduate and undergraduate students majoring in architecture, interior architecture and product design, and landscape architecture can opt to participate in paid internships with professional offices across the United States and around the world.

Through these internships, students directly experience the world of professional practice before returning to K-State to complete their studies.

Some internships are for 30 weeks during the spring and summer, while others take place during the summer. The experience acquaints students with some of the expectations and working environments of their professions and provides them the occasion to test their early notions about career choices in a variety of professional and geographic settings.
